I am currently a primary school teacher-librarian in Brisbane, with over 18 years of classroom experience. During this time, I have taught a variety of year levels in five different schools and this year I have stepped into my dream role as a school librarian.

It was my first opportunity to work part-time in a school library after maternity leave that sparked my passion for becoming a teacher-librarian. I first-hand saw the difference that a qualified and enthusiastic teacher-librarian can make to the culture and educational outcomes of a school. I too wanted to make a difference and it is this passion that led to my Master of Education (Teacher-Librarianship) studies at Queensland University of Technology.

Before studying my Bachelor of Education to become a primary school teacher, I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a Graduate Diploma in Communications.
